Een kano voor iedereen, op zee, meer of op de rivieren. Een uurtje of paar dagen.
De Cappuccino 13 is een goed ontwerp van de bekende zeekajak specialist Nigel Foster; 4 meter lang, 18 kilo; die kan je nog alleen op de auto leggen. Heerlijk om in de golven te beuken, maar ook om op een vroege ochtend alleen op een meer rond te peddelen. Onder het middelste luikje (ook wel de whiskey hatch genoemd) doe je je dag voorraad.
Door omstandigheden zijn er maar een paar van gemaakt en ik denk niet dat er veel andere (misschien wel geen) zijn te vinden in Nederland. Ik heb de kano 2 jaar geleden overgenomen van iemand die hem uit Zweden heeft geimporteerd. Heb toen de dektouwen en elastieken vernieuwd en de luikenhoofden aan de binnenkant weer waterdicht gemaakt met vloeibaar rubber. Weer als nieuw!
Ik doe de kano weg omdat ik ben overgestapt op een surfski (een snelle sit-on-top kano).
Verder zit er bij een spray cover, een reddingsvest, pompje en een peddelsteun om evt weer in de kano te komen. De peddel zit er eigenlijk niet bij; deze carbon Lendal Kinetik Touring peddel (met fluoriserende kunstof bladen) heb ik vorig jaar nieuw gekocht, maar misschien doe ik de peddel erbij als daar belangstelling voor is.

It is stable and easy to turn. The Cappuccino will delight paddlers of every skill level who will appreciate the easiness of handling it on and off the water.
This attractive, easy-to-carry craft is constructed from modern lightweight composites. It is fitted with a large round hatch in the bow, an oval hatch at the stern, plus a convenient small storage compartment for sunglasses/GPS/sunscreen positioned in front of the cockpit.
The Cappuccino is manufactured with vacuum-bagged fiberglass strengthened with honeycombed core-matt for improved rigidity and lightness. In addition to being lighter to handle in and out the water the Pro-Lite construction makes for a stiffer craft which improves it's performace.
The shallow arched hull has sharp chines which are drawn from aft to bow for higher maneuverability makes for a stable and nimble kayak for comfortable and safe day touring.
The padded cockpit comes fitted with an ergonomically designed seat which provides excellent support as well as providing the close contact needed when rough-water playing, and a highly functional back support that offers great comfort and lumbar support.
